Moving abroad is all about new experiences, growth, and opportunities but it still holds us back when it comes to homemade food. We are focused to recreate a food-based ecosystem consisting of students, customers, chefs, and cooks where everyone experiences good food, connections, and a great community.  Though we have a vast variety of homemade food to choose from, but when it comes to the specialty of CookHike, we proudly consider ourselves the epitome of Indian cuisine. 

Indian food is known for its consistency and quality of spices, and recipes found there. Most people consider Indian food as unhealthy, and high in sugar and carb which can contribute to high cholesterol. Through CookHike we want to nullify this perception. Local Indian food is not only delicious but also has various health benefits. Indian delicacies help in several body functions, including inflammation management, brain health, and immunity.  A wide variety of spices are used in making Indian food, and each one has enormous health advantages. It’s important for a balanced diet to contain different green leaf vegetables.

 

At CookHike we have customized our homemade Indian food service into a complete diet. It is delivered in the form of “Thali”. It is a form platter where each portion in the thali has a small size. It contains 1 type of lentils, seasonal veg, and some rice or roti, depending upon the customer’s choice. The thali may include a small, sweet dish on special occasions. The thali provides a balanced diet since it includes all the vital nutrients in an accurate amount. We use a variety of cooking oils in our preparations.  From mustard oil and peanut oil to coconut oil, we have it all, each oil has different health benefits.

Our Homemade curry, on the other hand, cooked with the right ingredients and proper amounts of oil, is very good for immunity. It helps in reducing the risk of various health diseases especially – diabetes and high blood pressure. Assembled with curry leaves, black pepper, garlic, turmeric, and various other spices, our homemade curry has various health benefits.

We have the advantage of knowing the international customer segment very well. Each meal  served by CookHike is incorporated with the freshest and top notch ingredients. All our home meals  are totally  liberated from any kind of  colorants  and taste enhancers. We understand that you all miss your home and you really want that sort of food which is prepared with affection and care. At CookHike we assure that you get the contentment of eating tasty, yet healthy home cooked food. 

We have partnered with home cooks who can be immigrants, stay-at-home parents, or restaurant dreamers. We intend to support their livelihood and enhance cultural inclusivity and economic empowerment in the society at the same time. All our chefs have individual life stories and inspirations which we want to share with each customer who ordered from them. Each cook has different generational recipes in their families to offer with experience.

1.     Create a preference list:  

Choose a meal plan and let us know what you like (and don’t like). Get 4 meals a week, or as many as 16.

    2.     Select your meals: 

The fun part is now selecting your favourite meals from a variety of options. We will adjust the menus to fit your diet and post them two weeks in advance.

3. Heat and Plate:

Meals are delivered in compostable, recyclable, or reusable containers with expiration dates, cooking instructions, and nutritional information. They are not delivered frozen. 

Use the oven to heat your food for the finest outcomes. When your meals are on their way, we’ll text you. 

5. Repeat

We’ll send you an SMS with our suggestions a few days prior to your subsequent delivery. It’s up to you whether you follow our recommendations or make your own.
